Pint Sized Paintball
Uniquely for Ages 5 to 9 - but fun for older kids and adults as well!
WHAT IS PINT SIZE PAINTBALL?
Pint Size Paintball is a new form of paintball specifically designed for children ages 5-9. We use paintball markers and safety equipment that has been specifically designed for children in this age range allowing Synergy Woods to provide younger children all the fun and action of regular paintball with a softer touch.
WHERE DO WE PLAY?
Pint Size Paintball is played on a fully netted course that is separate from the general public and “regular” players. Our Pint Size parties are played privately only with the group of people that you come with, unlike regular paintball where the groups are mixed. You will also have a personal referee with you for the entire party. Referees have been trained to ensure that your group has an amazing experience while being safe in the process.
HOW SAFE IS PINT SIZE PAINTBALL?
Many ask if their young child can actually play paintball and be safe as well?
Yes! “Regular” paintball markers (guns) use high pressured Air or CO2 (a gas) to push paintballs out at speeds around 300 feet per second (FPS). They use .68 caliber paintballs (about the size of a dime); Pint Size Paintball markers use NO AIR OR CO2! They are spring loaded. Pint Size markers are specifically designed to shoot paintballs at a very low velocity, similar to a NERF gun. The lower velocity and spring action will only allow a Pint Size marker to shoot at a maximum of 110 feet per second. In addition, Pint Size markers use a .50 caliber paintball which are smaller and break easier on contact thus taking away the “ouch”, feeling more like being snapped by a thin rubber band.
WHAT ABOUT SAFETY EQUIPMENT?
Remember, with a Pint Size Paintball Party your child will be protected by a full-face mask, chest protector, neck protector and gloves at all times. In addition, we encourage all guests to wear long sleeves and long pants if available. Kids tell us that they are “tough”, not “wimps” and that they “can handle it”, but at Synergy, its safety first and all protective gear must be worn at all times during play. The safety equipment makes everyone feel better including the parents, guardians and Synergy Woods staff. At Synergy Woods our number one priority is the safety of our guests. Just remember parents, safety and action will ensure your child’s party to be a fun filled adrenaline party without the fear of getting hurt.
DOES THE PAINT WASH OUT?
Yes, paintballs are a thin-skinned gelatin capsule with a colored 'paint' inside. Paintballs are similar to a vitamin capsule or bath oil beads, are non-toxic, biodegradable, water soluble and rinse out of clothing and off skin with just water. And our paintballs are ecofriendly!
SOUNDS LIKE FUN BUT HOW DOES IT ALL WORK?
STEP 1 – LEARN
Safety is the top priority at Synergy Woods. Each player will be properly fitted into their safety gear prior to receiving their Pint Size markers (guns). Once they are geared up, they will receive their marker, instructed how to safely use the marker- one player at a time. Once they have a complete understanding of how the markers operate, they will then be informed of all field safety rules and instructed how to play the actual paintball game.
STEP 2 – PLAY
The group will be divided up into 2 teams. The teams start at opposite ends of the field. On the referee’s call, the game starts. Players are eliminated when they are shot once or when they run out of paintballs. Players are NOT shot repeatedly. Once a player is hit and the paintball leaves a “mark” they are eliminated from that game. Games will typically last about 10 minutes or until all players on one team have been eliminated. Both the kids and parents take comfort in knowing that they or their children will not be shot repeatedly. Games will continue one after another until the party playing time has come to an end.
STEP 3 – REFUEL
Your kids will undoubtedly be tired once their playing time has ended. Paintball is a tremendous source of exercise and comradeship so they need some time to refuel their bodies and share stories. The group will enjoy pizza, chips, water and cake while secretly wishing that they could still be playing. If guests happen to bring birthday gifts to the party, this would be a great time to open them while reflecting on the awesome day they just had.
